Local Attractions
Situated perfectly between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and numerous cities in East Tennessee, Blount County offers a wonderful assortment of things to do.
Perhaps the most notable feature of the area is
Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One third of Blount County lies within the Park, and we pride ourselves on being a good neighbor, helping visitors enjoy and appreciate its natural and cultural resources. Whether you simply want to admire the breathtaking views at Cades Cove, or love the peace and serenity of exploring in America’s favorite national park, the Great Smoky Mountains has it all, from hiking, camping, and fishing, to horseback-riding and visiting historic sites.
Other activities and attractions in our region include golfing, watersports on several large lakes, shops and art galleries, an excellent array of dining, museums, bicycling, and scenic drives for auto or motorcycle touring.
But perhaps the best part about all the activities available in our area is that we’re here to help you select and organize those that will be perfect for your group. Be sure to visit the Blount County Chamber of Commerce Community Calendar:
